API 5dp Oil Drill Pipe
A heavy-duty drill pipe (HWDP) is a medium weight drill pipe assembly used in conjunction with the drill pipe and the drill collar. Seaco HWDP offers standard, helical and non-magnetic designs. In some applications, the diamond collar can also be replaced by a heavy object.
Seaco Drill COL is NS-1 certified from a single piece of 4145H modified tempered steel. It is designed for harsh drilling environments in vertical and directional Wells. For vertical Wells, Seaco HWDP is a transitional member. For directional holes, it is a counterweight member and provides additional stiffness to prevent buckling.
Features and advantages:
1. Center up thick or wear-resisting pad to extend pipe life and reduce hole resistance and differential adhesion problems;
2. Connections completed (coated with phosphate) to protect them from component corrosion after processing and to help prevent wear during initial makeup;
3. Thread root is cold rolled on API and H-90 connections. A pressed wire protector for standard connections is also provided.
4. Wear-resistant belt and internal coating can be provided according to customer requirements.
