Hydraulic Choke Manifold for Oilfield Well Control

Throttle manifold is a necessary device to successfully control kick and implement pressure control technology in drilling process. It is the new drilling pressure balance technology that can avoid reservoir pollution, improve drilling speed and effectively control blowout by using this device. One end of the device is connected with the side flange of the blowout preventer spool. When the BOP is closed, it can control the limited pressure from the casing by adjusting the opening of the throttle valve, so balanced drilling can work with minimal differential pressure.
2. The configuration
The throttle manifold is composed of throttle valve, gate valve, pipeline pipe, pipe fitting, pressure gauge, etc.
Three, the working principle
Opening/closing the throttle valve on the choke manifold (manual, hydraulic, and positive) releases fluid in the well to control casing pressure as the pressure in the well rises. If the casing pressure is high, the valve can be blown out directly through the gate valve.
4. Stress level
Pressure grades are 14Mpa, 21Mpa, 35Mpa, 70Mpa and 105Mpa, and can also be provided according to customer requirements.
5. Operation instructions
(1) The working pressure of all components on the throttle manifold shall be compatible with the working pressure of the BOP stack used.
(2) The throttle manifold shall be installed in a place where the operator can easily reach it. Pressure test must be carried out before installation. The valve seat test pressure should be equal to the rated working pressure.
(3) The pipeline pipe should be as straight as possible. When the line pipe turns, the 120 degree steel bend should be used. Pipeline pipe aperture should be large enough.
(4) a pressure gauge must be installed.
(5) In winter, the throttle manifold can work at low temperatures.
